NBA Triple Threat: Your (almost) daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:C's top Pistons The Celtics's amazing start has had its detractors, mainly those that say they haven't played enough good teams on the road. Scratch that after Boston pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Pistons 92-85 at the Palace. Despite being down after three, Boston went on a 10-2 run to take the lead, with Glenn Davis being the surprising catalyst. Davis finished with a career high 20. It was a playoff atmosphere, which makes sense as this is the likely Eastern Conference Finals matchup.
Hornets beat Suns The Hornets aren't going away, proving their mettle with a come-from-behind road victory in Phoenix: 118-113. Chris Paul played all 48 minutes, scoring 14 of his 28 points in the fourth to lead the comeback. For the first time in 20 games, the Suns blew a lead they held entering the fourth. These teams are tied for most wins in the Western Conference with 23. Of course, thanks to expectations, this is a surprise for New Orleans, and a disappoint for Phoenix.
Portland keeps on rolling Make that 17 of 18 wins for the Blazers after their 103-89 victory over Utah. Portland broke this one open with a huge third quarter, led by 24 points by Martell Webster. Webster made 10 straight shots in the third period. For the Jazz, it's another notch on their poor road record.

- Vandeweghe wanted to work for Knicks - Another black eye for James Dolan.
- TJ Ford not ready to return - It has to be a slow recovery given all that's involved.
- Howard "was coll" will Hill's firing - I like this story as it shows Howard isn't a total choir boy. He can get coaches fired too.
