NBA Triple Threat: Your (almost) daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:Bulls 126, Heat 96 Most of the time, one game can not adequately determine if one team is better than another. This game was an exception. While the Bulls are unlikely to salvage their train wreck of a season, the Heat certainly won't, even with Shaq back in the lineup. From this point forward, I will do my best to avoid these two teams in Triple Threat, barring a comeback. For Miami, I don't see it.
Knicks win three in a row For some reason, the Knicks own the Nets this year. New York's 111-105 victory is their third over the Nets this season. Two of the Knicks' road wins this season have come against New Jersey. While this is a three game win streak, remember that New York is still 9-26 against the rest of the league.
Bobcats rally big Down 19 at one point in the third, the Bobcats caught fire and came all the way back to defeat Orlando 99-93. Charlotte has shown signs of life recently, winning four of their last six. The Magic continue to go in the opposite direction. Once in Boston and Detroit territory, they've dropped to a distant third in the conference, with the Wizards closing in for the division. Something has to change there.
Best Lines
- Gerald Wallace, Cha: 36 pts, 14 rebs (8 off), 5 ast, 3 blk, 1 stl...What do you think of Wallace? Do you see him as more than the next Shareef Abdur-Rahim?
- Jamal Crawford, NY: 35 pts, 11-20 FG, 6-10 3PT, 1 reb, 8 ast, 2 stl
- Tyson Chandler, NO: 14 pts, 7-9 FG, 21 rebs, 1 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl...What's the bigger blow right now to Chicago, seeing Green Bay in the NFC title game, or comparing Chandler to Wallace?
- Prognosis good for Nene - Obviously, great news.
- Knicks might reconsider deals... - ...if Isiah is ever fired.
- Suns eying Stoudamire - The Suns rightfully don't trust Marcus Banks to back up Nash, but does Damon Stoudamire have anything left that could help them? I honestly forgot he was still in the league.
