NBA Triple Threat: Your (almost) daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:San Antonio 109, Utah 80 Those that were looking to bury the Spurs better take a step back. FBS came back and played 19 minutes, and with him came the Spurs offense. San Antonio shot 59.4% from the field, and 8-16 from downtown. Utah shot 38.3% from the field, and 3-17 from downtown. Not surprisingly, this was over quickly. The Spurs took the 3rd seed with this win, and will face the Suns in round one. Utah will be the four seed due to being a division winner, but will not have home court advantage against 5th seed Houston.
Dallas 111, New Orleans 98 Thanks to this result, the Mavs and Hornets will meet in round one. After tonight's result, Dallas has to have confidence. New Orleans played their starters the whole game, and at one point were up 70-59. From there though, with the Hornets starters still in the game, the Mavs got hot and stayed hot, roaring back and into a double digit lead of their own. We'll see soon if that is an omen.

Best Lines
- Kevin Durant, Sea: 42 pts, 18-25 FG, 13 rebs, 6 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk...It seems almost cruel to give Seattle a taste of what Durant is truly capable of in what is probably the last game in the history of the Seattle Supersonics.
- Ramon Sessions, Mil: 25 pts, 11-17 FG, 7 rebs, 14 ast, 3 stl...We'll hear from Sessions again next April.
- Macrin Gortat, Orl: 12 pts, 5-11 FG, 11 rebs (5 off), 2 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk...Who?
- Mark Jackson a candidate for Knicks job - On the plus side: not Isiah, not a retread. On the minus side: no coaching experience. Not Isiah probably trumps all.
- Marion seeking extension - Having fun yet, Shawn?
- Nelson: no feud with Davis - We'll find out if it's true this summer.
