NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:Boston leads a charmed life The Patriots weren't the only team that won late. A Ray Allen three at the buzzer in overtime sent the Celtics off with a 98-95 victory over the Raptors. The play used all of the Big Three, with Pierce inbounding to Allen, who was open thanks to a screen by Garnett. CF has already posted the video here Everyone outside of New England winces.
Suns beat Cavs without Amare Amare Stoudemire missed this game with a sore knee, and in the first half it was obviously how much the Suns missed him, as Cleveland destroyed them inside. However, Phoenix started hitting shots in the second half, fueling a comeback and resulting in a 102-93 win. Not surprisingly, Steve Nash led the comeback, scoring 30 points, 22 in the second half.
Kobe doing Kobe things In the final four-and-a-half minutes, Kobe Bryant blocked an Andrei Kirilenko shot, and scored 6 of his 33 points. That capped a huge fourth quarter for the Lakers, who turned a one point deficit going into the final period into a 119-109 victory over the Jazz. Kobe may want a trade, but at least he's giving it his all every night, unlike certain others in the league we know of.
