NBA Triple Threat: Your (almost) daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:

Bulls spoil Webber's debut Chris Webber played 13 minutes in his Warriors debut, contributing 4 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists. However, despite missing Gordon, Deng, and Hinrich, the Bulls defeated Golden State 114-108. The Bulls won it the final minutes, scoring seven straight after the Warriors made it 101-100 with 2:16 to go. Chris Duhon and Joe Smith stepped up in the absence of three of Chicago's top four scorers, scoring 34 and 27 points respectively.

Rockets stifle Cavs Cleveland couldn't get anything going offensively, allowing the Rockets to withstand a poor night from an ill Tracy McGrady, winning 92-77. The Cavs shot just 39.7% from the field, including 29.6% from three. Cleveland, playing without Drew Gooden, were also crushed on the glass, being outrebounded 55-35. Adding final insult to injury, the Cavs only took 13 foul shots. The defensive effort helped the Rockets withstand an 8 point night from T-Mac, who spent most of the day with an upper respiratory infection.

No Shaq, Heat still suck Thanks to the trade, the Heat were shorthanded, and it showed in losing 101-84 to the Sixers, Miami's sixth straight loss and their 21st and 22 games. Despite shooting just 36.3% from the field, the Heat only trailed by three going into the fourth quarter. However, Philadelphia started the fourth on a 12-3 run, and with the Heat struggling, that was enough to put the game away. BTW, despite being 20-30, the Sixers are only a half game behind New Jersey for the 8th seed in the East. Lovely conference.

Minus Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich ... and the Bulls win? Hmm, think we found a part of the problem.

Thats a heckuva game for a backup PG.  If I were the Bulls I might be looking to see if I can get somebody to bite on Hinrich still, or if someone overvalues this performance and would overpay to get Duhon.
