NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:Mavs win only game of the night I'm not sure why the NBA only scheduled one game Monday night, and had it on NBATV, but at least it was a good matchup. A close game throughout was broken open at the end by Dallas, who went on a 14-4 run to end it in defeating the Rockets 107-98. Jason Terry is now coming off the bench for the Mavs, but he didn't seem to mind tonight, scoring a team high 31 points. For Houston, it was the Yao and T-Mac, but nothing else. They were the only two Rockets to hit double figures in scoring. Both these teams are 3-1, and so far look like what they were expected to be, among the powers of the West.
Best Lines
- Jason Terry, Dal: 31 pts, 11-17 FG, 4 rebs, 5 ast
- Tracy McGrady, Hou: 35 pts, 3 rebs, 8 ast, 2 stl
- DeSagana Diop, Dal: 10 pts, 13 rebs (4 off), 1 ast, 1 stl, 4 blk...I know it's because of his defense, but after he washed out of Cleveland, did anyone expect Diop to ever play in the league again, much less be a solid contributor?
- Varejao out of shape? - Yep, that'll get them to give in to your demands, Anderson.
- Riley: Heat not on the same page - That's an understatement.
- Garbajosa unhappy with playing time - So, it took a week for the first PT complaint. Sadly, that seems later than normal.
