NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:Bulls' offense blows 72 points scored against the Bucks says it all about Chicago's offensive woes. The Bucks only scored 78, but it was enough to break a 15 game losing streak against Central Division opponents. Interesting enough, Yi Jianlin finished with 16 points, which was more than any Chicago starter. Given the Bulls' 0-3 start, expect the Kobe rumors to intensify.
Washington now 0-3 Agent Zero can't be having much fun right now, as the Wizards fall to Orlando 94-82 to drop to 0-3. Arenas scored just 10 points on 5-for-15 shooting. Washington hasn't been able to shoot the ball this year, especially from three point range, where they are 1-for-17 on the season. Defense also continues to be a problem, as seen by Hedo Turkoglu scoring 27 points. Luckily for both the Bulls and Wizards, there is still plenty of time to fix what ails them.
Deja vu: Jazz beat Warriors For once, the Jazz out-Warrior'ed the Warriors, winning 133-110 in Utah's highest scoring performance in 10 years. The Jazz were fueled by a franchise record 12 three pointers. Golden State meanwhile is also 0-3 to start. If it's any consolation though, they don't play Utah again until February.
Best Lines
- Juan Jose Barea, Dal: 25 pts, 9-11 FG, 1 reb, 5 ast, 1 stl...In his first career start, Barea puts up possibly the most unlikely line so far of the season.
- Jason Kidd, NJ: 16 pts, 4-7 3PT, 14 rebs, 10 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk...Triple double #50 in Kidd's career.
- Al Harrington, GS: 38 pts, 15-20 FG, 6-8 3PT, 7 rebs, 3 ast, 2 stl...There is 95% chance this will be Harrington's best line of the season.
- Armstrong apologizes for calling Bird a liar - Darrell Armstrong would do well to stay away from Boston for the next 20 years or so.
- Most of the Warriors playing for new contract - Because that kind of situation for a team always works.
- Sasha comes home - Cue the circus music.
