NBA Triple Threat: Your daily roundup of last night's action in the Association:Heat win their first game of the season Thanks to Jason Williams of all people, Miami won for the first time since April 13th. Williams hit the go-ahead jumper with 19 seconds left, and the Heat held on to beat the Knicks 75-72. As the score indicates, it was an ugly game offensively. Dwyane Wade is still out for Miami, so it's hard to tell if they can build on this first win, but it's a start.
Wizards also get win #1 Gilbert Arenas continued to struggle, but Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison picked up the slack, as the Wizards picked up their first win of the season, 101-90 over the Hawks. Washington played some inspired ball, never trailing and having a season high 26 assists. The Hawks didn't have the same intensity, and it shows. Unlike Miami, the Wizards aren't missing their best player, so this might be a bigger stepping stone to recovery.
Cavs rally to beat Clips A big fourth quarter pushed Cleveland to victory over the Clippers, 103-95. They needed it, after blowing a 11 and 13 point lead at different points in the game. LeBron was in foul trouble most of the second half, and for once did not lead the Cavs in scoring. That honor went to Zydrunas Ilgauskas and his 25 points.
