For many of the teams at the top of the BCS rankings, this is their last chance to either slip up, or solidify their chances of playing for a National Championship. #1 Alabama plays a beat-up and underacheiving Auburn team, but their rivalry always makes that game a little more interesting than it maybe should be, and Auburn has owned the Crimson Tide in recent years. The Tigers have a 6-year winning streak over the Tide, who look to go into the SEC Championship game undefeated.
Some other big in-state rivalry games today include Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, Oregon-Oregon State, Virginia-Virginia Tech, South Carolina-Clemson, Georgia-Georgia Tech, North Carolina-Duke, Florida-Florida State, and a few others.
Notre Dame and USC also will participate in what lately has been the annual "USC takes Notre Dame to the woodshed" game. USC has beaten ND in the past 6 meetings, and their average margin of victory in those 6 games is 26 points.
