The early games this week are highlighted by the WLOCP, featuring Georgia and Florida. Apparently, since most college students aren't 21 years old, we're not allowed to call it the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party", but the acronym is still alright, from what I can tell. At any rate, we're running out of teams on Florida's schedule that might be able to beat them, before the SEC Championship game. I doubt Georgia can do it either, but maybe they have a chance. Here's the early schedule:

12:00
#8 Cincinnati vs Syracuse [ESPNU]
New Mexico State vs #17 Ohio State [Big 10 Network]
Purdue vs Wisconsin [ESPN2]
Indiana vs #4 Iowa [ESPN]
#25 Mississippi vs Auburn

1:00
Southern Mississippi vs #18 Houston

3:00
San Jose State vs #7 Boise State

3:30
Georgia vs #1 Florida [CBS]
#24 California vs Arizona State [ABC]
#19 Miami vs Wake Forest [ABC]
Michigan vs Illinois [ABC]
Kansas vs Texas Tech [ABC]

4:00
UNLV vs #6 TCU

4:30
#12 Penn State vs Northwestern [ESPN]

If you're watching the games, chat it up with us here. Don't forget to make your picks on our NCAA Football Pick 'Em Page. As always, enjoy the games!

Ok... who dressed up as Illinois for Halloween?

I cant believe the Michigan/Illinois game is on ABC.  Which two announcers drew the short stick for that game?

Indiana scored a TD on their opening drive, I'm sure the Steeler wannabes Hawkeyes will get on the board and set sail sooner or later though.

Arkansas and Mississippi State shouldn't have had any shot at beating Florida and yet they gave them scares (and hecl, Arkansas completely outplayed Florida).

Obviously the night games are much more entertaining or at least should be.

14-0 Hoosiers...upset?

If Iowa can get it to 14-7 at half, they'll go on to win

That's what the score is now, Hawkeyes answered this time.

Ridiculously huge off side penalty there against Iowa. Indiana got them to jump, giving them a 1st down on 4th and short. HUGE.

More failures for Iowa.  The returner shouldn't have tried to return that punt in the first place.  He ended up fumbling the ball at the 12, recovered by Indiana.

Hoosiers are a MUCH better team than years past and better than their record would suggest. They had a miserable showing at Viginia but other than that game they have played good football. They led Michigan til the final seconds earlier in Ann Arbor.... dont be surprised to see a similar ending here in Iowa. A close win for the Hawkeyes against Indiana ... assuming that will be the outcome....should not reflect bad on Iowa's body of work (however, Im afraid it will by the voters who have not seen Indiana play this year).

Looks like that should be a TD.

I'm not discounting the Hoosiers by any means.  I think Iowa's cardiac play is gonna come back to haunt them, and with another TD as I'm typing this, it's looking more and more like this could be the day Iowa goes down.

Iowa is going down at some point.  They just aren't that good.  As questionable as Florida, Texas, and Alabama have looked all three teams would destroy Iowa.  Ohio State is still the most talented team in the Big Ten, but Terrelle Pryor's inconsistency has made them beatable as well.

10/31/09

Ohio State up 28-0 on New Mexico State at the half.......*yawn*

10/31/09

LOL, another INT for Stanzi.  This is the day Iowa loses, they're simply getting outplayed on both sides of the ball.

10/31/09

If Iowa cant come back and win, they will still control there own destiny as far as making a BCS game if they can beat Ohio State and Minnesota in the last two games.  They will jhave the tiebreaker over Penn State and get the BCS bid as regular season champion of the Big Ten

Another pick that almost was a pick 6.

10/31/09

I've never been impressed with Ricky Stanzi as a thrower and he is proving why in this game.

10/31/09

The Iowa D just saved Stanzi's butt with that play...

10/31/09

Pinball is right, that ball hit 3 players before the Hawkeye defender caught it for a pick 6...WOW!

10/31/09

'Cuse was looking halfway decent in the first half, of course until Paulus threw an interception. The defense just started to cave in the begining of the second half, and Cincin looks like they're just going to steamroll now... another qb change coming..

I'm starting to believe the football God's are wearing Black and Gold after that play

Stanzi with 3 int allready..

10/31/09

They were about to call PI on the Iowa defender but he caught the ball anyway, Hoosiers back down to the Iowa 11.

Indiana may've just won the game.  I can't see Iowa scoring more than 28 points.

10/31/09

The football gods may be wearing black & gold, but Indiana won't let off the gas.

Iowa catches two more breaks... I stand by my regular statement

10/31/09

Nice job refs, that was clearly a TD.  I bet if it was an Iowa player who caught that on the exact same type of play it wouldn't have even been reviewed.

10/31/09

Big Ten refs just pull an SEC.  We protected our potential BCS crashing bid.  That's embarrassing.

Don't worry, Stanzi is doing his job to keep the Hoosiers ahead.

I just LOL'd at that INT by Stanzi, that's #5 on the day.

10/31/09

Out of all the teams in the Big Ten, I never would've guessed that Indiana would be the one who exposed Ricky Stanzi as a suspect passer.  The Indiana defense has been pressuring Stanzi and he's just throwing up jump balls trying to escape

10/31/09

Now Iowa will never pass us in the poll.

10/31/09

Wow. After the way Ole Miss played last week I didn't see that happening.

Funny how much hype Snead had coming into this year.  He's fallen flat on his face this season.

10/31/09

Damnit, Iowa gets a long TD.  If I had a vote in the polls, even if Iowa were to come back and win this game, they'd still drop.

10/31/09

Ruck the fefs for the calls in this game, it's entirely thanks to them that Iowa now has the lead.

10/31/09

Well, Iowa is going to have to play a lot better than this to avoid getting lit up by Ohio State.

10/31/09

I realize that the wind is playing havoc with some of the throws in the Indiana/Iowa game but lets be honest, the Big Ten isnt exactly a throwing quarterback league.

If the pollsters have any brains, which we all know they don't, Iowa deserves to drop in the rankings.  They had help from the refs to stay in the game.  Had the calls been right the entire game, those TDs in the 4th quarter would've and should've been too little too late.

I must've been watching a different game.  Iowa slept walk thru the first half, got a couple of breaks and calls to go there way in the 2nd half and then were finally able to put Indiana away.  This game was alot closer then the score and had the Hoosiers not shot themselves in the foot in the 3rd quarter, they could've very easily won this game.  No doubt that the computers will see this as a win and think Iowa dominated but the reality is, Iowa escaped.  Iowa is alot of things, but they arent for real.

I respectfully disagree Scott. They ARE for real. They just seem to be one of those teams that plays down to the opponents level with a sense of confidence tho that they know they will succeed. AND they have every game this year. I  guarantee you whoever their January opponent happens to be will have their hands full and will probably leave the field with a "scratching their head" loss. Iowa just has that aura ofdestiny riding with them this year. They play at Ohio State in 2 weeks. That should be a BigTen war.

Some friendly advice to Ron Zook from a diehard Illini fan.... Just because players are seniors doesnt mean they should automatically be annointed as starters.  If a freshman or sophomore is better and gives your team the best chance to win, they need to play..... see Leshoure, Hawthorne and Aiken
