The ball is tipped ... and here we are.

Not that there's ever a bad slate of games, but this early afternoon action possesses a great deal of potential upset, buzzer beating promise. For one, Gus is announcing. Two, the Vegas odds on most of these are 'close enough.' Just let it not be the Spartans to provide the first upset fodder. Please.

3 Georgia vs 14 Xavier (12:20)

I know Georgia won the SEC Tourney and everything -- but I don't think a 3 spot is really that deserving...especially against a Xavier team I thought was much, much better throughout the season.

This is way better than Christmas. All I want for Christmas is for North Carolina to win the National Championship and that is not going to happen in December.

I didn't watch more than 1 of Temple's games, but it appeared to me that Izzo knew exactly what they were trying to do and the Owls kept forcing it. I approve.

What makes me mad is that at straight up 4 they will shut off all NCAA coverage and go to a repeat of Oprah regardless if the games are over or not. I am just glad I've got a great monitor for my computer.
