Johnny Football vs. Roll Tide: The Sequel [NCAAF Week 3 Live Thread]

Blog Photo - NCAAF Week 3 Live ThreadAlabama may have won the last two national championships, but that doesn't mean they're not salivating over today's games. Last year, Johnny Manziel used the Alabama game as a springboard to the Heisman Trophy. Despite the loss, the Tide still went on to win the BCS title, while Johnny Football has become a lightning rod. In fact, Manziel and Alabama football are arguably the two most polarizing and hated entities in college football, save for possibly the NCAA itself. This is by far the biggest game of the day, and hopefully it can live at least somewhat to its hype.

The only other games between ranked teams is UCLA-Nebraska, which becomes the second biggest game of the day by default. There are some other semi-intriguing games as well, but most of the other top teams shouldn't have much trouble, and that includes those playing BCS conference teams.

Manziel is having a hell of a game, but I still would like to see him pull a Heath Ledger

That pick by Manziel was as bad as the return by Sunseri was awesome.

The old men who ref and commentate SEC games are clearly not prepared for this.

Hasn't been a spectacular day of match ups but the Bama/A&M game is setting up to be a shoot out !

oh Akron  indecision

And now Alabama starts off with a 3 and out.

Well then. A&M takes the ball on the kickoff and marches down the field for the score. Manziel looked great as a passer.

Argh. So close, Akron. So close, Akron. Would've been nice if the refs hadn't stolen 9 seconds from you at the end.

There's a lot of weird scores right now, but none weirder than Akron beating Michigan 10-7 in third quarter.

Scary moment today as Minnesota coach Jerry Kill has suffered yet another seizure during a game.
