As many of you know, I'm a big time Olympics fan. But that said, I seriously can't wait for the NFL season. I didn't go to a huge D-I college, so college football I often find petty and uninteresting. Too many cupcakes on too many teams' schedules.
But there are no cupcakes in the NFL, provided you discount the Miami Dolphins, of course.
However, what really does it for me is that the talent level in the NFL is ridiculously high. And that's what I want see.
Luckily, the NFL realizes this, and so they've been making some awesome NFL.com Fantasy Files viral ads these past two years. All of these ads are fake, or at least I think all of them are, but they're still awesome. Basically, it's an NFL player doing something crazy, then telling you to pick him for your fantasy team.
Here's my absolute favorite, with San Diego's Chris Chambers.
And here's one with Redskins pro-bowl tight end, Chris Cooley.
Now, as I said, I'm fairly confident these are fakes, even though Cooley swore on a Redskins blog that his was real.
However, this Marcus Colston one from last year, I'm less sure about. I think the second catch could very well be real.
Either way, I approve.
By the way, is it bad that I watched the Chambers video an estimated 437 times since I discovered it yesterday? I sure hope not. Let's get the season started guys.
