NFL Free Agents: Randy Moss to come out of retirement and possibly become a part of the San Francisco 49ers
Randy Moss is the long time football veteran who is a 35 year old wide receiver and became a part of the NFL in the 1998 NFL draft.
Randy Moss called it quits and announced retirement from the game of football on the 1st of August 2011 but it seems that the player is back now as he on the 12th of February which happens to be Randy Moss’s birthday, the player announced that he is going to return to playing professional football.
Randy Moss commented on the matter by saying that "I wanna play football. Your boy is going to come back here and play some football, so I'm really excited. I had some things I had to adjust in my life."
According to Adam Schefter from ESPN it seems that Randy Moss is going to be making stops with the San Francisco 49ers as he reported that:
“Randy Moss is scheduled to fly to San Francisco on Sunday for a Monday workout for the San Francisco 49ers, according to a league source.”
“The trip is a return to the Bay Area, where Moss played two seasons for the Oakland Raiders before he was traded to the New England Patriots.”
This means that the San Francisco 49ers are going to get an upgrade and it has been quite clear for some time now that the team badly needs one. Randy Moss officially decided to go practice and work out with the San Francisco 49ers and if the player plays to the standard acceptable by the team then he may in fact become a part of the roster.
Adam Schefter from ESPN also reported that Randy Moss’s skills on the football field were impressive while the San Francisco 49ers trained for the upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints.
So be on the lookout for Randy Moss updates as if the player keeps up his current rate then contract negotiations may start any day now but the fact of the matter is that Randy Moss needs to continue working hard if he wants to make the cut.
