Broncos' QB Peyton Manning is the favorite to win his fifth 'Most Valuable Player' award.

The NFL MVP award may be a glamour position’s award that only goes to quarterbacks and the occasional running back, but it is also still one of the most prestigious trophies an athlete can place on his mantle. This year quarterbacks again lead the pack as the award favorites, and Adrian Peterson is the only non-QB candidate in the top 10. Over the last 10 years the MVP award has gone to a quarterback seven times and to a running back three times. And a defensive player has only won the trophy once in the entire history of the MVP award.
Even though we know the award will probably go to one of the top five quarterback’s in the league, let’s take a look at the odds anyway.
