Wrong finger, coach.
After last night's thrilling Oregon State win, forgive me for being less than geeked for the NFL slate this weekend. No game is all that compelling, no one will be a victorious 25-point underdog, and no fans will be rushing the field. Well, except maybe in St. Louis in the general direction of their head coach.
The good news is that one of the Ohio teams will gain their first win, so there's that. Missouri on the other hand will remain winless.
Last Week: slightly more respectably 10-6
Browns at Bengals 69% of FanIQ are picking Cincy
Who knows. Originally I was all in on the Bengals becoming the first Ohio team with a win, but not Carson Palmer is questionable with a sore elbow. That means he'll play of course, and blame his interceptions on a sore elbow. Either way, he's starting to get back on track with T.J. Housh and, well, they have to win this one. Pick: Bengals 31-21.
Packers at Buccaneers 74% Green Bay
Brian Griese threw 67 times last week. Is Dusty Baker the QB coach? If Griese throws more than 50 times against Green Bay that means they're trailing by at least a couple TD's. So yeah, Griese may top the 50 mark. Packers 30-16
Vikings at Titans 55% Tennessee
Gus Frerotte vs Kerry Collins. Awesome. 10 years ago this would been an acceptable, but such is the sorry state of quarterbacking these days. Adrian Peterson is feeling better, Gus forces Tennessee to consider the concept of a forward pass and the Vikings steal a road win and get back to .500. Vikings 23-20/
Texans at Jaguars 90% Jacksonville
Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew will combine for 200+ yards on the ground for the second straight week. When you run the ball like that, you win. Jags 31-13.
49ers at Saints 80% New Orleans
This Reggie Bush guy might not be a bust. I don't think he's doing anything different, it's just a reflection of Sean Payton figuring out how best to use him. Frank Gore will get his yards and this could very well be an exciting, high scoring game, but I like New Orleans at home. Saints 35-31.
Cardinals at Jets 71% New York
Kurt Warner vs Brett Favre. Another 1998ish look. Favre will get it going, don't you haters worry. Jets 20-17.

Falcons at Panthers 81% Carolina
Matt Ryan has been impressive, despite the road woes against Tampa. He is a rookie after all. This week won't be as bad as week 2, but it won't be pretty. Panthers 30-10.
Broncos at Chiefs 90% Denver
Brodie Croyle, Damon Huard, Me, Tyler Thigpen... it doesn't matter who plays QB for the Chiefs right now, they're just not good. Broncos 31-14.
Bills at Rams 93% Buffalo
The only outcome worth predicting in St. Louis is Scott Linehan's firing in the next two weeks, if not Sunday night. Expect a productive and pissed off Steven Jackson, but also expect Buffalo to look like the greatest show on turf. Bills 28-14.
Chargers at Raiders 86% San Diego
Battle of the Turf Toe. LaDainian Tomlinson is healthier, but the same doesn't appear to be the case in regard to Darren McFadden. Interim Raiders coach Lane Kiffin said it continues to bother him greatly. Michael Bush isn't too big a drop-off, anyway, but the Chargers should play inspired and eager to return to .500. Chargers 24-16.
Redskins at Cowboys 92% Dallas
Best team in football won't lose at home despite the rivalry factor. This isn't college football. 'Boys 35-21.
Ravens at Steelers 85% Pittsburgh
It would be nice if the Steelers O-Line at least considered the idea of stepping in front of a Baltimore Raven. You know, like block someone. Big Battered Ben needs at least a few seconds, and better yet, a productive night from rookie Rashard Mendenhall. Won't be pretty, but the Stillers eek it out. Steelers 17-10.
