I just don't understand the NFL playing a regular season game, mid-season, in London. It's as out of place as these New Orleans Saints in the picture above. Hopefully my picks below make a little more sense...
BIG GAMES
Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers [74% of FanIQ is picking the Panthers]
Stating the obvious, but Arizona must keep the Panthers from knocking Kurt Warner around. If given time, the Cardinals passing attack can pick apart any defense in the NFL. Believe it. That said, the Panthers are going to get to Warner which means at least one lost fumble and Carolina will also control the ground game and time of possession, keeping Warner cold. Panthers 27-24
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys [54% Bucs]
Brad Johnson will have a much, much better performance this week. If you're asking yourself how could he get any worse, you've got a good point. But Johnson has had a full week with 1st string snaps and no distraction of whether Tony Romo will be playing or not. For as much as TO complains about not getting the ball, under all that immaturity he makes a good point. Terrell needs the damn ball. The Cowboys need to try more quick screen directly to him in the flat and let his size and speed create. Since Wade Phillips obviously reads this blog, they'll get it done while knocking Jeff Garcia around enough for an average performance. Cowboys 24-17
San Diego Chargers "at" New Orleans Saints [53% Chargers]
That silly London game mid-season is back, and the genius that is the NFL took a home game away from New Orleans. Brilliant! The good news is that at least they choose a decent game. Reggie Bush would've given this game much more intrigue, but Drew Brees' passing and LaDainian Tomlinson's star power should "spread football interest around the world." Or something like that. This is actually a very critical game for both teams and I'd suffice it say a "must-win." Philip Rivers is having a terrific season, leading the NFL in passer rating, and his continued progress will lift the Chargers to a win thanks to a more balanced attack. Chargers 30-24
New York Giants at Pittsburgh Steelers [53% Giants]
The Giants game plan is pretty simple: do exactly what the Eagles did in Week 3. As is the case with any other offense in the league, if you can hit the quarterback before he takes his second drop back step you're going to win. But I think the Steelers learned a lot from that Philly beatdown and are prepared. It won't be pretty, but thanks to a hopeful Willie Parker and Mewelde Moore's versatility, I like a Pittsburgh home win. Steelers 20-17
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles [72% Eagles]
Matt Ryan has been awesome as far as rookie QB's go, but this won't be his week. The Eagles will be blitzing on 90% of Falcons plays, and will be streaking down the field on offense thanks to the return of Kevin Curtis and Brian Westbrook. Eagles 35-17
THE REST

Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets [88% Jets] Larry Johnson remains inactive, as does the Chiefs QB situation. Brett Favre could share the Jets entire game plan with KC and it still wouldn't help. Jets 23-10
Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens [80% Ravens] You think Baltimore could put a bounty on Al Davis? Just for the sake of the Raiders organization. Ravens 16-9
Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions [90% Skins] It would only seem fitting in the current NFL that Jason Campbell throws his first interception against the Lions defense. That might happen, but this isn't the week for Detroit to get it's first win. Skins 34-14
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins [78% Bills] I'll go even more cliche and call this a "trap game." Fortunately, Trent Edwards' 4th quarter prowess will wake the Bills back up in time for a comeback win. Bills 17-16
St. Louis Rams at New England Patriots [79% Pats] They're back. Pats 27-21
Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars [82% Jags] MJD right, Fred Taylor left. Rinse. Repeat. Jags 31-10
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans [82% Texans] Even though Ryan Fitzpatrick is starting, I'm going with the Bengals. WHO DEY! Cincy 23-20
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers [69% 49ers] Does this need to be televised? Shouldn't that classify as conduct detrimental to the NFL fanbase? As a protest, I won't even pick this game.
Alright, your turn.
