The NFL Pro Bowl: Because, Why Not? [NFL Pro Bowl Live Thread]

I know there's a lot of negativity surrounding the Pro Bowl and debates on whether or not they should even have a game. Personally, a field and sidelines full of All-Stars playing the game just for fun is something that I enjoy, and I know that more people watch the game than would like to admit it. For some of us, it's the last chance of the season to see some of our players in action. For others, it's just a way to pass the time between the Conference Championships and the Super Bowl. For even others, it's just a good ol' fashioned day of football.

Blog Photo - NFL Pro Bowl Open Game ThreadIt's refreshing to know that players like Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, and Arian Foster are unhappy with the way the Pro Bowl has been played previously and would like to see it become more physical and exciting. The fact that Russell Wilson, a player who has a reputation for having a work ethic that rivals Manning's, is making an appearance this year.

Obviously with injuries and Super Bowl appearances, there are substitutions; you can find a complete list of Pro Bowl selections here. You can find a list of players you will actually be watching on the field today here:

I would be enjoying this game even if the Seahawks weren't doing as well as they are. These guys are actually playing. Diggin it.

Something must be wrong with my cable service.  I just saw Matt Schaub run for a first down?!?

Same here, Jess,  He had a poignant moment with Bob Kraft at the end of the lockout, too.  Saturday must just be a real cuddly guy, huh?  (I think it's because he looks like a gigantic teddy bear.)   smiley

Love him.

heartheartheartheartheartheartheartheartheartheart seeing my Seahawks kick some butt out there! First ET with the INT and now Wilson with the little scramble and TD. Aww this is why I'm watching this game...if my boys can't be in the SB at least I get to watch them once more.
