Defending SB champs head to Denver for rematch against Manning & his Broncos [NFL Kickoff Open Game Thread]
This year we begin the NFL regular season with a rematch of the 2OT Divisional Playoff game that ended the Super Bowl XLVII favorites' season and sent the Ravens to New England for the Conference Championship game. Unlike the last game though, Elvis Dumervil is on the opposite team, Von Miller officially starts serving his six-game suspension, Ed Reed is in Houston, Champ Bailey is out with a foot injury, and Ray Lewis...well, who knows where he'll be.
Baltimore lost quite a bit in the off-season but they still have Ray Rice and Joe Flacco, and Peyton has a shiny new target, with Welker making the move to Denver. Personally, I think the Broncos were already the better team last year, but the Ravens were riding one of those momentum waves caused by the retirement announcement of the face of the franchise. We're starting the season with a clean slate and if there's one thing we know as football fans, it's to expect the unexpected.
Broncos over Ravens, 27-10
