The NFL season shockingly gets underway in less than 36 hours; the Thursday start following a short holiday week always throws me off. That means there's not a lot of time get your season predictions out in the open. Time to dive right in with the most important prognostication: Who's winning the Super Bowl. Last year, we had one fan (Kerri) and one "expert" (Dan Shanoff), call the exact Super Bowl result before the season. Now's your chance. First, here's a rundown of the some expert picks (surprisingly few have posted them so far):
Sports Illustrated: Saints over Chargers
Jeffri Chadiha (ESPN): Ravens over Bears
Len Pasquerelli (ESPN): Patriots over Seahawks
Matt Mosley (Hashmarks): Patriots over Saints
Scouts, Inc. (ESPN): Patriots over Bears
Sal Palantonio (ESPN): Patriots over Saints
Joe Theismann (ESPN): Ravens over Saints
John Clayton (ESPN): Patriots over Bears
Kige Ramsey (YouTube Sports): Chargers over Saints
That's all we've got so far. We'll add the other incorrect picks as they start to publish over the next day.
We've had a few polls asking for your Super Bowl pick, but many of you kept answering other. Can't let you get away that easily, so let us know who your Champion is below and compare yourself to the experts.
As for my pick, well I can't do a whole lot worse than last year (Broncos over Falcons, yes I'm still laughing too). With all the experts picking the Patriots, we can safely cross them off the list, and Sports Illustrated tabbed a team I strongly considered in the Saints. They're done. Chargers over Bears, a rematch of Week 1.
