I'm often asked how you can watch two straight days of football. I usually ask myself how I manage to get through the other five days. Sufficiently entertaining day of college football yesterday, today should prove to be an educational day of the NFL version. We jump to so many conclusions after Week 1 without any consideration for the opponent. Right now the Lions are on the up and up, Patriots have won the Super Bowl, Roethlisberger is going to pass for 300 touchdowns and the Bears can't run the football. Let's put all these on hold for at least another hour. We should learn a lot today.
Quick thoughts on this afternoon's games:
49ers at Rams
Was it just the Cards or does SF have a top defense? The latter.
Bills at Steelers
Cutler passed over Buffalo, Big Ben will too
Packers at Giants
Gunslinger should have a field day, Giants still win
Falcons at Jaguars
Over/under on Joey Harrington pick 6's: 1.5 ... I'll take the over
Bengals at Browns
How is this still a touchdown spread? Vegas, you're on notice.
Texans at Panthers
Barometer for Houston against a real team. I'm buying.
Colts at Titans
VY did it last year, VY will do it this year.
Saints at Bucs
Ok, Take 2 Drew Brees. Resume regular schedule programming.
Cowboys at Dolphins
Experts like the Fish. Experts should pick up fishing.
Seahawks at Cardinals
Buzzsaw are going to take this, promise.
Vikings at Lions
Purple Jesus! All Day!
Raiders at Broncos
McCown or Culpepper, it won't matter.
Jets at Ravens
Kellen Clemens should be starting, and get the win.
Chiefs at Bears
If the spread was 24, I'd still take Chicago.
Feel free to cheer on your team, rip on the rest right here.
