Now that several teams have reported and donned full pads, it's time for some daily updates on the news stories that aren't big enough for their own posts ...Brady Quinn is still not in camp. Reportedly they are getting closer, while at the same time criticize is growing stronger. Get in camp, dude. For a guy who basically named himself the Browns starting quarterback this summer, if he missing another week he's not going to see the field during any critical minutes.
JaMarcus Russell negotiations appears to be in worse shape: "Embarrassing." So bad they've even brought in Daunte Culpepper to work out. Russell is asking for $30 million in guaranteed money, while the Raiders are matching last year's #1 pick number - 26.5. Contract holdouts from rookies is something I'll never understand.
With training camp comes many injuries. Here's a good conversation starter -- What injury can your team NOT afford? I'll start, and it should be obvious based on last year, the Bears can't lose Tommie Harris again.
Speaking of which, San Francisco can't lose Frank Gore. He IS injured, but it's unlikely to cause any regular season damage. Still have to worry that this guy seems to get banged up more often than most.
Discuss.
