Hard to go through a Thanksgiving afternoon of football and not remember what may be perhaps the single dumbest play in NFL history: Leon Lett's inexplicable jumping on a blocked field goal attempt to give the Dolphins another chance. (1:30 mark in the video above)

Most of the other memories that stand out involve Barry Sanders running circles around hopeful defenses, particularly Harlon Barnett of the New England Patriots at the time.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember anything noteworthy happening over the past five years which is why I'm pulling for some kind of Lett-esque moment. Surely, the Lions will deliver the goods.

I don't know, Leon's return vs. the Bills in the Super Bowl was pretty dumb as well. I think I'd go with the Thanksgiving play as being the dumbest, though ESPN "experts" disagree. It's pretty funny that he was involved in 2 of the dumbest plays of all time.
