Blog Photo - NFL Week 3 Late Game RecapIn today's GameDay Live thread, I wondered whether the Dolphins were really good. They gave me an answer this evening against the Falcons.

Miami 27, Atlanta 23 From down 20-10 early in the third, the Dolphins came back to win and improve to 3-0. They took the lead with just 38 seconds left on a 1 yard pass to Dion Sims, whoever that is. The game winning drive was set up by a missed 35 yard field goal by Matt Bryant. Atlanta joins a group of teams that were believed to be contenders at 1-2.

Indianapolis 27, San Francisco 7 Well then. The "49ers are awesome" bandwagon that basically everyone was on has suddenly derailed. The Colts whooped San Francisco, scoring 20 unanswered points after the Niners tied the game at 7 in the first. The first carry for Trent Richardson as a Colt was a 1 yard touchdown run, but he was otherwise quiet. Ahmed Bradshaw, though, played very well, rushing for 95 yards and a score on 19 carries. Colin Kaepernick was not nearly as good, going 13/27 for 150 yards and a pick, just an 11.8 QB rating. In other San Francisco news, Aldon Smith, who played today, will take an indefinite leave of absence after his DUI arrest Friday morning.

N.Y. Jets 27, Buffalo 20 The Jets took the lead for good on a 69 yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes with 9:23 left. The Bills could not get anything going from there. In fact, it wasn't a great day for EJ Manuel period: 19/42, 243 yards, 1 TD. The Jets win, and improbably move to 2-1, despite a team record 20 penalties for 168 yards.

Seattle 45, Jacksonville 17 That looks about right. Up 31-0 in the third, the backups came in early for the Seahawks.
