In the NFL blowouts happen all the time. In fact, the New England Patriots once beat the Tennessee Titans 59-0, but when it comes to gambling NFL spreads rarely go over the 14-point mark. If a team is expected to get blown out of the water the oddsmakers would set the line at 13 or 14 points and hope the underdog can score a couple of meaningless touchdowns at the end of the game to ruin the spread. The point is no matter how bad a team is the lines are never set beyond the two-touchdown mark.
So the fact that there are two games that went over that mark this week has to show how historically bad the oddsmakers expect the Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders to be. The Seattle Seahawks are a 19-point favorite against the Jaguars this weekend while the Denver Broncos are a 15.5-point favorite over the Raiders on Monday night. The 19-point mark in the Seattle game might be the largest spread in NFL football history. It is an unheard of number in the sport.

The only way the Hawks don't cover is if the all get lost on their way to the stadium

Jacksonville, in Seattle.. That line could be 30 and I'd probably still bet on it. I don't see the Jaguars scoring a point if Seattle decides they want to play

I'm gonna be honest - I'm a little scared of this whole thing. If there's anybody who knows how to stop the Seahawks, it's Gus Bradley. He may not have the talent on his team, but he may not have to. On any give Sunday, they say...I'm not chalking a W up as a given just yet, and I'm certainly not assuming a massive point spread.

Those -19 type spreads are brutal.
