Brian Westbrook was on last week's edition of the Injury Report. unfortunately, the Eagles didn't get the hint, and he broke a couple ribs. Not a terrible week for Westbrook's fantasy owners, since he still managed a TD, but disastrous in the long run for guys like me who were ecstatic to scoop him up with the #3 overall pick. There's whispers that Westbrook may play against the 49ers on Sunday, but that just seems ridiculous. Pick up Correll Buckhalter if you still can, and hope that Westbrook gets better soon.
Matt Hasselbeck isn't healthy, but he'll play anyway, since the Seahawks can't really hold open QB tryouts like Washington State. Considering the state of Hasselbeck's knee combined with the Seahawks WR corps (or lack thereof), and you might be better off trolling the waiver wires this week.
Jon Kitna is awaiting MRI results for his back. This could be bad. Or it could be nothing. Keep an eye on him as Sunday draws closer. Hopefully he's not your best option anyway. But if he is, then that's something you want to keep a close eye on. He might need divine intervention, and that may not work 2 years in a row.
I don't know if you saw Anquan Boldin 2 weeks ago, but he probably won't be taking the field this week. 2 words: Steve Breaston.
Selvin Young won't see the field this week. If Michael Pittman is still available, snatch him up.
Watch out for Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey. Their time is drawing near. It might not be this week, but they're on their way back shortly. There is definitely a chance that Colston will play this week, but it's probably best to leave him on the bench for now.
Other guys to look out for:
Bengals QB Carson Palmer, Justin Fargas looks like a better start than Darren McFadden, Willis McGahee isn't 100% healthy, but still getting carries. Deion Branch is highly unlikely to play, mostly because he is a Seahawks WR, and they just don't stay healthy.
