NFL Wild Card Weekend, Saturday Open Game Thread

No rest for these weary. Wildcard Weekend shows us what they're made of. [Open Game Thread]

A red hot Saints team takes on Detroit tonight in the Superdome; the same Superdome that they crushed the Lions 31-17 just last month. Detroit was in a rut when that game was played, however, in which they are no longer. The Saints are looking to bounce back from their frustrating loss in the first round last year (yes, I had to bring that up), and Detroit has Megatron. I predict this to be the most exciting game of the first round.

The last game Houston won was against Cincinnati, which catapulted them into the playoffs. Can they pull off a repeat in their first ever post season game? They'll have to get past a hungry Bengals team, and they know they'll have to play better than they did last time against this team.

Saturday Game Schedule:
Bengals @ Texans - 4:30pm ET
Lions @ Saints - 8:00pm ET

Who are your picks? Q it up here all afternoon and through the night as we kick off the post season!

Both home field teams won today. I say both home field teams lose tomorrow.

I would say that's definitely possible, but I have a feeling the Giants will squeak out a win. But I hope you're right.

Ah Bengals, 21 and counting.

Lions remind me of the Saints in every way except one.  The Saints D always seems to come up with a big play when they need it most

1/7/12   |   Debi_L   |   11775 respect

Wow.  The Lions can only watch.............

Congrats to the Texans. Maybe it's my drunkenness talking, but I think they have a legitimate shot at Baltimore next week.

This game I'm pretty blah about in terms of future considerations. As a Packers fans, the Saints terrify me, but I'm not sure I'd want them to face Detroit next week on a high if they win (which they probably won't now),.

Some amazing QB play going on in this game right now. I love it.

Minus that last Stafford throw.  Lions need the defense to come up big or this game could be over

WOW!!! WTG Texans!!! (Just saw highlights - and what highlights they were!!!)

Now I am just a little bit surprised at the score over in the Saints/Lions game, but I'm pretty sure Drew and the rest of the Saints will prevail

good for the Texans....Foster is a beast!

Don't really care which team wins tonight, just give me a few ridiculous Megatron catches and I'll be happy.

okay Gary (Kubiak), now would be a great time to go to page 4 of the Playbook.

There was only 3 pages on NFL Blitz 2000, so I don't know what these consist of.

Since I know and like Crash, Jan, and Leigh, and don't know any Bengals fans here, I guess I gotta go with the Arian Foster's today.

1/7/12   |   HouTxFan   |   5008 respect

If the Texans O can play like that the rest of the game, the Bengals are gonna have a hard time stopping them.

Both offenses go "3-n-out" to start the game. Benson drops a third and short. Houston looks like they are wound up a little tight.
