2010 NHL Playoffs Begin!
That game is followed a half hour later by the second game, featuring the Philadelphia Flyers tackle the New Jersey Devils. And being the Flyers, tackle is exactly what the game may be. As long as I can remember the Flyers have been brawlers. Although the Devils, with goalie Martin Brodeur, have been strong this year, they haven't had much success against the Flyers. This may change, being the playoffs, but look for the Devils to struggle against the Flyers.
The West Coast games get underway later on, with Detroit meeting up with the surprise of the season, Phoenix Coyotes. The Coyotes came out of the gate, game one, determined to show the world that they belong in the NHL and prove that they did. The Detroit Red Wings are, well, the Red Wings, but the Coyotes won't be a pushover.
The final matchup is the San Jose Sharks meeting the Colorado Avalanche. The Sharks are always strong in the regular season, yet struggle in the off season. The Avalanche are another surprise team in the playoffs (well except to their fans) and predicting a result in that series is difficult.
It all gets underway today and the Q is your place to chat it up. Don't forget Playbook, and challenge your friends for Qbucks or cash, or just bragging rights!
