So far, Roberto Luongo has the goal of the season. Seriously
Phoenix Coyotes at Carolina Hurricanes, HLN-CA, SPSO
Bryan: Missed the start, but this is a good game so far after 2 periods.
Debi: Phoenix has had some good wins this year, and look to finish up on a high note, while Carolina would just like to gain a little positive momentum. I think Carolina has work to do, and Phoenix will win this one.
Los Angeles Kings at Florida Panthers, FS-W,FS-F
Bryan: I gotta go with the Kings here, Florida did score 6 against the Pens but that was against a rookie who looked very nervous in the net. I'm not expecting that against Quick.
Debi: Most years I would be saying the Kings have this game, hands down, but they are struggling a little bit this year. The Panthers haven't been stellar either, but they did beat the Penguins earlier this week. Yes, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and that's something I would never predict. The goaltenders seem to be finding their stride on both teams though, so this game could come down to the goaltenders. I do think the Kings will prevail though.
New Jersey Devils at Winnipeg Jets, MSG PLUS, TSN-JETS
Bryan: New Jersey is in trouble. Is this the night they finally get their first win? I say no. Jets win it.
Debi: Can New Jersey make this game their first win of the season? Short answer, no, not against the Jets.
Ottawa Senators at Anaheim Ducks, SNET-E, TVA, PRIME
Bryan: Anaheim wins this one for Jess. Ottawa is good, but I don't think they will be able to hold it together in the night cap.
Debi: Is Jess at this game? I think so. Will the Ducks prevail? They have momentum, and are playing strong. Ottawa fell short against San Jose last night, but played well. They are taking penalties and they need to play strong hockey without giving the other team the advantage. It will be an emotional trip for Bobby Ryan, returning to Anaheim as a Senator, after many seasons as a Duck. Game of the night for me.
And finally, we get to our headline. If you were watching the Vancouver Canucks host the Montreal Canadiens last night, you would have seen the goal of the season so far. The Habs got their go-ahead and winning goal, courtesy of Roberto Luongo. Well, I'll let the video speak for itself.
If you are having Canadian Thanksgiving today, and are in the hockey mood, join in here. It's Hockey! For anyone else, just like me, who just wants hockey, and a full season of it, enjoy!
