Yes, we have football, but what about HOCKEY?
The starting lineups may look like a bit of a try-out session tonight, but sometimes that is when we see our best hockey. I'm joined by Kramer, once again, so without further adieu, let's get to our picks.
7:00 pm ET
Columbus Blue Jackets (6-10-1) at Boston Bruins (11-5-1)
NHLN-US, FS-O, NESN
Bryan: I really want to pick Columbus here, but I don't see it happening. Bruins have this.
Debi: Boston just has too much momentum right now. A win leads to a win leads to another win.
Los Angeles Kings (11-6-1) at New York Islanders (7-9-3)
FS-W; MSG PLUS
Bryan: The Kings actually lost to Buffalo. This is going to really tick them off and the Isles are the sorry team that gets to feel the wrath. Kings get a nice road win at the Mausoleum.
Debi: With Quick out of the net for the Kings, and Nabokov out of the Isle's net, this could be a really high scoring game. The defence on both teams is going to have to back up their goalie. In the end, I think the Kings will do that better.
Anaheim Ducks (15-4-1) at Tampa Bay Lightning (13-5-0)
Bryan: The Bolts are in some deep trouble without Stamkos. Jess's Ducks win on the east coast here.
Debi: Yeah, I agree, Bryan, the loss of Stamkos is huge. The Bolts are going to be struggling, no matter what. Ducks it is.
Phoenix Coyotes (13-4-2) at Chicago Blackhawks (12-2-4)
Bryan: Both teams are off to blazing starts, and that makes this my pick for game of the night. In the end I say Hawks win.
Debi: Again, I agree, at least in part, Bryan. I think this is definitely the game of the night, but I'm taking the Coyotes. It might take them into OT to do it, but Coyotes it is.
Colorado Avalanche (14-3-0) at St. Louis Blues (11-2-3)
RDS, ALT, FS-MW
Bryan: The Avs haven't lost 2 in a row all year, but they're playing an incredible team on the road here. This could also be arguably the game of the night! Blues win.
Debi: How many games of the night are you having? Just kidding, Bryan. I have no clue who will take this, but I'm going to have to go with the home team. Blues it is.
Dallas Stars (9-7-2) at Calgary Flames (6-9-3)
Bryan: Debi's Flames got this.
Debi: Dallas clobbered the Oilers last night, but I don't think they can take the Flames down that easy. C'mon boys, you can do this! (I love Barra!)
San Jose Sharks (11-2-5) at Vancouver Canucks (11-7-2)
Bryan: This is always an entertaining matchup. I think this goes down to the wire and the Sharks pull out the 2 points.
Debi: Both have the same number of wins, but the difference lies in the Shark's ability to take it to OT for the extra point, and that will be the deciding factor I think. Sharks it is.
Games are underway, now, so don't forget to make your picks and enjoy the games.
