After yesterday’s single game, tonight has a full schedule of 11 games, many of which are televised in various regions. Versus will be showing the Anaheim @ Buffalo game, but the one I’ll have my eyes on is the Flames game. Things are really starting to heat up!!
The rest of the schedule is:
7:00 pm ET
Florida Panthers @ Boston Bruins
Anaheim Mighty Ducks @ Buffalo Sabres
Philadelphia Flyers @ Washington Capitals
Colorado Avalanche @ Atlanta Thrashers
7:30 pm ET
Vancouver Canucks @ Montreal Canadiens
Caroline Hurricanes @ Ottawa Senators
8:00 pm ET
Chicago Blackhawks @ Washington Capitals
Los Angeles Kings @ Minnesota Wild
8:30 pm ET
Phoenix Coyotes @ St. Louis Blues
9:00 pm ET
Columbus Blue Jackets @ Calgary Flames
Tampa Bay Lightning @ Edmonton Oilers
The Flames play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight, starting at 9pm ET. Calgary is sitting third in the Western Conference, right behind San Jose and Detroit. Columbus sits back in sixth, but this game isn’t going to be a walk in the park for Calgary.
The Flames have 4 of their regulars out with injuries and there is no hope of any of the four being in the game tonight. Lack of players haven’t really slowed them down. They are coming off a successful road trip, having won 2 and tied one in the last three games. Tonight’s game starts 3 games at home before they head out of the road again.
It seems teams are shaking up the management and the rosters both as we move into the last third of the season. Oh, and the NHL Network is offering folks in the States a free preview starting March 2nd, in case you hadn’t heard:
The NHL Network will offer a free preview to more than 34 million subscribers of multiple distributors in the United States, such as DIRECTV, DISH Network®, AT&T U-verse, Verizon, Cox Communications, Grande Communications and TVMAX, beginning Monday, March 2 through Saturday, March 7.
