As we get closer and closer to the Stanley Cup finals, the Wrap-Around is here to recap last nights conference final action.Senators strong in 1-0 victory, a sweep in the future? The Senators controlled the game. They had double the shots of the Sabres, allowing only 15 shots to their 32 taken. Ryan Miller did all he could for the Sabres, making 31 saves, but the Sabres offense did not get enough chances.
Turns out that the one goal scored in this game was a screwy one. The Dany Heatley shot went wide and took a strange bounce off of the boards. It bounced in behind Miller, and was an easy put in for Daniel Alfredsson. That 2nd period goal was the only score of the game.
The Senators now have a 3-0 lead, and with game 4 in Ottawa, they hope to close out the series. The Sabres hope to just show up. Game 4 is Wednesday at 7 on Versus.
Player of the Night: Ryan Miller, 31 saves on 32 shots.
On Tap:
Game 3: Red Wings at Ducks. 9 PM, Versus. Series tied at 1-1.
That's all for this Wrap-Around. If you can stay up for it (and find Vs.) check out what should be a great game 3.
