Two teams. One Cup. The Wrap-Around is here to find out which team is one step closer to Lord Stanley.
Ducks take both at home with 1-0 win. The Senators were badly outshot in this game (31-16) as they were also out hit, and struggled on faceoffs. Ray Emery was fantastic for the Senators, but it wasn't enough to win.
Both teams were in the box a lot in the 1st period, yet nobody could score. Ottawa even had a 5 on 3 powerplay. The Ducks outshot them 12-7. The Ducks continued to control the pace, outshooting the Senators 14-4 in the 2nd period. Still, no one could score.
In the 3rd period, neither team took one penalty. Neither team had too many shots (Ottawa had 5, Ducks had 3). But Samuel Pahlsson shot the puck between the legs of a Senator defender and in to the back of the net, the games only goal. The goal was unassisted.
The Ducks now lead the series 2-0, and the Senators hope to bounce back at home in game 3.
Player of the Night: Samuel Pahlsson, 1 goal. (Only point by any player)
