Joey Votto and Jay Bruce each homered twice for the Reds, as they beat the Brewers 11-2. Jolbert Cabrera, Jerry Hairston Jr and Andy Phillips also homered for the Reds.Cincinnati starter Ramon Ramirez pitched well, allowing only 2 runs in 6 innings to earn the win. His counterpart, Jeff Suppan of the Brewers, didn't fare so well. Suppan was rocked for HR's by Votto and Bruce, and only lasted 2 innings, but still managed to give up 5 earned runs to get the loss.
Manny Parra relieved Suppan, but didn't do much better. Parra lasted 4 innings, but also gave up 5 runs, including 4 home runs.
Votto, Bruce, Cabrera and Hairston each scored twice, and Votto led the way with 4 RBI. Bruce had 3 RBI, and Hairston chipped in 2 RBI on 3 hits.
The Brewers didn't have a single extra base hit in the entire game.
