Nate Robinson Wins 3rd Dunk Contest
NBA

Nate Robinson Is The First 3-Time Dunk Contest Winner, But There Was Nothing Memorable About It.

If you watched the Dunk Contest last night, I'm sorry to inform you that no matter how hard you try, you'll never get that time back. It's gone forever, completely wasted on the worst dunk contest of all time.

There were 2 dunks that were even worthy of BEING in the dunk contest at all, but for the most part, the contest dunks would have been slightly better than average in-game dunks. No one was conjuring memories of Vince Carter, MJ and 'Nique, or any of the other legendary Dunk Contest winners. It was awful.

The best part of the weekend: This Raptors mascot eating a cheerleader.

You know what would have been electric??  Seeing somebody rise up over Alicia Keyes' booty!  That prop would have gotten an 8 by itself!

can you tell me why Gerald wallace was even there though? i've seriously seen better dunks from the local ball players at the gym then that disaster.

Yeah.. it wasn't good. I'm not going to defend Wallace being there, but it's not as if great dunkers were lining up around the block to compete and he got a place that somebody else wanted.

I dunno if it was the worst dunk contest ever, but it surely wasn't anywhere close to as good as the past 2-3 contests. To think that after Howard last year we had Kobe, LeBron and others saying they were going to get in on it....

But I wouldn't panic. The dunk contest had some down years before Vince Carter got involved and in the years before Dwight Howard.. it will come around again.

that dunk contest was weak, G. wallace's dunks were absolutely pathetic and the others were nothing to clap about. Nate deserves to win and his were the best by far but still...it was terrible.
