Ah yes. My favorite live thread of the year returns once again. It's the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest Live Thread. As some of you may remember, last year's contest was truly epic. Joey Chesnut and Kobayashi both downed 59 hot dogs in regulation, and the contest had to be decided in overtime. Of course, Chesnut (who hails from San Jose, CA) won. USA! USA! USA!
Seriously, it was one of the more exciting events I saw all of last year.
I'm not sure how on earth Chesnut and Kobayashi can top their 2008 epic battle, but either way, the rematch is on. And really, it's only one of these two guys who will win. They're the Federer and Nadal of their sport, or whatever you call competitive eating.
So anyway, chat up the Hot Dog Eating Contest here, and remember........USA! USA! USA!
