Although there were late pushes from recruiting masterminds Al Golden and Jimbo Fisher, cornerback J.C. Jackson of Immokalee High School (Fla.) had his focus on the swamp. Blog Photo - National Signing Day 2014: Florida Gators Get 4-Star CB/WR J.C. Jackson

Jackson, a four-star prospect and the No. 20 overall recruit from the state of Florida, sent in his letter of intent to coach Will Muschamp and the Florida Gators at about 8:15 a.m. this morning.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound versatile athlete played both ways in high school, starring at both wide receiver and corner—however, Florida will likely attempt to convert him to a safety due to a crowded list of CBs, as long as it can add some build to his frame.

What makes Jackson such a highly-touted player is his elite closing speed and man coverage abilities. He’s got raw, yet coachable talent that should follow a long line of productive defensive backs to go through the swamp.

Jackson held offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), Minnesota, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

His addition gives Muschamp the No. 10-ranked recruiting class for the 2014 Team Rankings on 247Sports. He de-committed from the Seminoles in early June.
