If Alex Collins – the nation’s top all-purpose running back prospect – isn’t fast enough to catch his mom, then I’m not so sure he’s capable of playing in the SEC.Blog Photo - National Signing Day: Alex Collins' mom steals letter of intent

According to ESPN RecruitingNation, Collins’ mom “confiscated” his letter of intent for Arkansas and fled the premises just moments before his announcement ceremony.

Apparently she doesn’t like the thought of him leaving Plantation (FL) to go to school and would rather see him play for the Miami Hurricanes.

This definitely wins the day for unusual signing stories, and although he is probably embarrassed out of his mind, Collins should be able to use “my mom stole my homework” for future college courses.

Collins has rushed for 2,915 yards and 38 touchdowns the last two seasons. He is still expected to sign with Arkansas sometime today.
