The Net made a blockbuster trade on draft night and are now one of the title favorites.

Of all the crazy things that went down on draft night—the Bill Simmons/Doc Rivers feud, Nerlens Noel falling to the number-six spot and subsequently being traded and that dude with the crazy hair—the most surprising may have been the blockbuster trade between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.
At first glance the trade was horrible for all parties involved—the Celtics took on a horrible contract and a bunch of moving parts while the Nets received two hobbled players and an equally as horrible Jason Terry contract. However, the oddsmakers seemed to like the trade as the Nets rocketed up 2014 NBA Championship lines. The team moved from the +4000 range to receiving +1400 to win next years title. The Nets are currently receiving the fifth best odds in the entire NBA
2014 NBA Title Lines:
Miami Heat: +260
OKC Thunder: +700
Chicago Bulls: +1000
San Antonio Spurs: +1000
Los Angeles Clippers: +1400
Brooklyn Nets: +1400
