Mandatory Credit: Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY SportsAfter a pretty rough month of December, the New Jersey Nets have decided to make a pretty substantial move, and fired their head coach Avery Johnson.

Johnson was the Atlantic Conference coach of the month in November, but the team plummeted back down to earth in December, going 3-10 and prompting the firing.

Point guard Deron Williams may have had something to do with it, saying he felt uncomfortable in Johnson's offensive system.

This isn't the first time Williams has criticized a coach who was let go shortly thereafter. The same thing happened with Jerry Sloan in Utah, shortly before Williams was sent to the Nets anyway.

Now, Johnson will likely take his annoying screechy voice to ESPN, where he'll comment on basketball despite leading the Nets to a 60-116 record since his hiring there. Awesome.
