The New Orleans Hornets' new name is sure to strike fear in the hearts of their opponents

No, they're not getting the "Jazz" back from Utah. Even though that's what they should do.

The NBA franchise in New Orleans will now be known as the Pelicans.

Yes, that's right. The Pelicans.

The only good thing about this is that the Charlotte Bobcats might be able to change their name to the Hornets now, and they can bring back the best uniform and color combo in NBA history.

Bobcats owner Michael Jordan has apparently already said that he'd be interested in bringing the "Hornets" name back to Charlotte.

Still... the Pelicans? Terrible choice.

Wow I could have understood Levees, Shrimp, Cajuns, Coonass', but Pelicans sounds more like a summer league from college baseball then a NBA team. It would be nice if Charlotte would bring the Hornets name and colors.
