New Year's Eve Sports Lineup

We all know that New Year's Eve is a special day of the year for many people.  It's a chance to get dressed up, hit the town, grab a fancy meal, and pop some champagne.  People are full of good cheer and good intentioned resolutions.  But this is not just a fun day because of the evening activities...the entire day is jam-packed with a lot of college sports action for all to enjoy!

College Football Bowl Games:
Finally, we have some bowl games that matter and have some relevant teams competing...

Franklin American Mortgage Music City: 12pm
NC State vs. Vanderbilt

Hyundai Sun Bowl: 2pm
USC vs. Georgia Tech

Autozone Liberty Bowl: 3:30pm
Iowa State vs. Tulsa

Chick-fil-A Bowl: 7:30pm
LSU vs. Clemson


College Basketball Games:
Many teams are finally starting to get into their conference schedules.  We will finally start to see a lot more competitive basketball instead of simply watching big-time programs beat up on undermatched smaller schools.  A few games to keep an eye out for:

#8 Cincinnati  vs. #24 Pitt:  12pm

#19 Michigan State  vs.  #11 Minnesota: 2pm

#5 Indiana  vs. Iowa:  4pm

#13 Gonzaga  vs. #22 Oklahoma State:  6pm


All of this action is happining throughout the day.  It's a good reason to keep the remote close-by so that you're able to flip between some of these games.  Of course, New Year's Day is also packed with games to enjoy.  So tomorrow, when you wake up from that big night out tonight, you'll have something to help get you through the day as you lay around on the couch!
