As you will no doubt see on every blog and TV show in existence today because it's a slow news day, the New York Giants had a large number of their Super Bowl rings stolen from an Attlelboro, Massachusetts jewelry store over the weekend.Police say New York Giants Super Bowl rings were among the $2 million worth of items stolen from an Attleboro jewelry company sometime over the weekend.Now, as SPORTSbyBROOKS informs us, Foxborough is only 18 miles away from Attlelboro, so cue the Bill Belichick "he needs them for all his girlfriends" jokes.
Thieves disabled the alarm system at E.A. Dion's building on Franklin McKay Drive, cut a hole in the roof and made off with a safe that weighed at least 1,000 pounds. It held the rings, gold, and gems.
