Can The Cavs Keep It Going?

Here's what was going on today on the blog.

1. Tom Brady rips into ESPN. Ends chance of being future talking head.
2. Jim Edmonds is headed to the Cubs. Drunk Cubs fans not pleased.
3. The Boston Herald finally apologizes to the Patriots. Hasn't yet apologized for crappy journalism.
4. That's one hell of a block.
5. Tampa Bay Devil Rays are the best team in baseball. What?

All right, a little extra news for you. Big Brown got dumped on at the Preakness draw and is going to be starting out of the #7 gate. He's going to have to squeeze his way through a tight....you know what, I'll just stop there.

Here's what's on TV tonight. The only stuff worth watching are those NBA Playoff games. I don't know why, but something tells me Cleveland is going to win. So, in other words, put everything on the Celtics.

Boxing: Light welterweights, Francisco Figueroa vs. Luis Rodriguez, at New York (ESPN2, 9 p.m., same-day tape)

Major League Baseball: Atlanta at Philadelphia (ESPN, 7 p.m.)

NBA: Eastern Conference semifinals, Game 5, Cleveland at Boston (TNT, 8 p.m.); Western Conference semifinals, Game 5, Utah at Los Angeles Lakers (TNT, 10:30 p.m.)

NHL: Western Conference finals, Game 4, Detroit at Dallas (Versus, 8 p.m.)

I know a lot of people don't like the Lakers and don't want them to do well, but I don't know how you can root against Lamar Odom.  He's a good guy, and its been awesome to see him do so well these past two games.

Do you know him personally or something?

I like how he always used to play high. I miss those days.

Yeah, I'm curious as to what makes you believe he's a good guy.  He's probably quite peaceful but something about him irks me.  Too smug.

He's gotten his life turned around, or at least found away to pass those drug tests.  Last summer he lost his son, and was shot at during a failed robbery, so its just nice to see some things go his way.

Odom also has to be miffed he missed a ring by one year, granted the Heat probably wouldn't have won it without Shaq.  He seems to be playing with that extra bit of fire.

Agreed.  I haven't seen him play this well or with this much emotion since the '04 Olympics when he was one of the few players that actually gave a damn.
