Nightly Q

Can The Hornets Finally Kill Off The Spurs?

by 100%InjuryRate 100%InjuryRate | >7 days ago7 Comment Comments »

Nightly Q Photo Here's what was happening on the blog today.

1. Mark Prior is injured yet again.
2. Indians pitchers are locked in, to say the least.
3. Orioles Magic is awesomely awful.
4. Hooray for soccer riots.
5. Sir Charles owes the Wynn Casino a lot of money.

All right. Here's what's on TV tonight. I'm counting on Chris Paul to take down the hated Spurs. But even if the Hornets don't do it tonight, you know it'll happen in Game 7. That's the way these playoffs work. Home team always wins.

NBA: Western Conference semifinals, Game 6, New Orleans at San Antonio (ESPN, 9 p.m.)

NHL: Eastern Conference finals, Game 4, Pittsburgh at Philadelphia (Versus, 7:30 p.m.)

Soccer: MLS, Salt Lake at Colorado (ESPN2, 9:30 p.m.)

Is Chris Paul really not on the Olympic team like Mark Jackson keeps saying?

Reason #1491 to hate the Spurs:

The fans at the game chanting "Horry! Horry! Horry!" after he knocked down and out David West, while West lays on the ground.

Show some class Spurs fans.

Definitely classless of those Spurs fans. We're not all like that though. I was and still am concerned about West. I don't want to see him out for game 7. If the Spurs win then I want it to be because they are the better team. Not because West wasn't able to play.

Yeah, I directed it more to the a-holes who got that chant going and kept it going with a good part of the crowd. I know not all Spurs fans are terrible terrible people

I was more surprised at Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy defending the hit by Horry so ademitly like they did. They actually made it more of an issue that it really was. I thought it was a little cheap but nothing too bad but the more they defended it, the worse it seemed.
