Do I Really Have To Root For The Lakers?
by 100%InjuryRate

Here's what was decent on the blog today.

1. So who should the Bulls take at #1?
2. Charles Grant is in a world of hurt.
3. Jim Leyland goes Lee Elia on the Tigers.
4. Who's the idiot that scheduled the first two Stanley Cup games on Versus?
5. The Devil Rays are now comic book heroes.

I seem to have ruffled a few feathers with my post yesterday about how the NBA should prevent the Spurs from going to the Finals because they consistently produce horrible ratings. To all you Spurs fans out there, I'll just say this.

Bite me.

Enjoy the game tonight everyone, even though rooting for the Lakers over the Spurs is like rooting for Albert Fall in the Teapot Dome Scandal over President Harding. Trust me, that's quite a diss.

Boxing: Lightweights, Edner Cherry vs. Stevie Johnston; lightweights, Freddie Norwood vs. Johnnie Edwards, at Camp Lejeune, N.C. (ESPN2, 9 p.m.)

Major League Baseball: New York Mets at Atlanta (ESPN, 7 p.m.)

NBA: Western Conference finals, Game 1, San Antonio at Los Angeles Lakers (TNT, 9 p.m.)

Did you guys think it was funny watching "The Machine" throw a lob to Gasol like they were Chris Paul/Tyson Chandler?

20-7 run to close the 3rd... hopefully that "3rd  crap  quarter" is out of their system, and can put away game 1.

You already said that elsewhere.  If they go down 2-0, the other Spurs fans should demand you leave like the guys made Darrell Hammond leave in "Celtic Pride".

I wish I had caught the name of the idiot Spurs beat writer that was on ESPNEWS earlier, claiming the Spurs would sweep the Lakers if they could keep Kobe to 10 makes on 20 shots.

Any reference to that really awful yet somewhat funny movie "Celtic Pride" will get a thumbs up from me.
