A new era in NFL uniforms swooshes in tomorrow. Tuesday is the big unveiling of the new Nike NFL uniforms, as Nike now replaces Reebok as the official supplier of NFL team jerseys and on-field apparel. Thanks to the mad tweeting and photo uploading skills of Miami Dolphins safety Sean Smith, we've already got a little sneak preview. Smith tweeted a photograph of one tiny section of the new bright orange Dolphins alternate jerseys, the very uniform whose ugliness you are likely to complain about some random Sunday this NFL season when Miami plays a home game.
"EXCLUSIVE!!!," Smith tweeted with a link to the above photo. "Since yall my "friends" Lol ill give u a sneak peak."
Before you accuse Sean Smith of a late April Fool's joke, realize that he actually tweeted the photo nearly three weeks ago.
You may think it's pretty insignificant that the NFL uniforms are just getting a little 2.25 square inch Nike swoosh in place of a little little 2.25 square inch Reebok rectangle. Nike, however, thought it was significant enough to haul Reebok into court over a few thousand Tim Tebow jerseys.
In most teams' cases, the only change to the uniform will be the replacing of the Reebok logo with the Nike logo. But some teams will get more substantial changes, and thanks to leaked information we do know the following:
- The Carolina Panthers will have a new logo wherein the growly cat does not have a white outline around him.
- The Jacksonville Jaguars are rumored to be rolling out an all-black alternate jersey. The Jags have already confirmed that they are throwing out the teal and going to all-black jerseys in 2013.
- There will be marginal changes to the Seahawk on the Seattle Seahawks helmet.
All the new NFL Nike uniforms will be unveiled Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. EDT at a Brooklyn, NY warehouse. Nike's contract as the NFL's official uniform supplier runs until the year 2017.

I'm from Houston. Astros. Dynamo. I'm used to it. (In fact, I kinda *like* the color!)
