Nnamdi Asomugha will retire with the Oakland Raiders
Now, Nnamdi Asomugha is retiring from the NFL, signing a one-day contract with the Raiders so he can retire from the organization he started with, where he was named a first-team All-Pro twice.
Asomugha left the Raiders two years ago, signing a lucrative 5-year contract with the Eagles. It included $45M of guaranteed money, and it didn't pan out well at all. He was released before the beginning of this season, and signed an incentive-laden contract with the 49ers. He was cut after playing in only 3 games and making only 2 tackles.
His career took a severe downturn after leaving the Raiders, but now he'll return home to Oakland and announce his retirement.
