Yes, there are sporting events on today that are not football. Some of which are actually big events.
First, there is the men's US Open final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic on CBS. Federer is the favorite (of course), but Djokovic won in their last meeting. BTW, Djokovic has claimed that if he wins, he'll streak in celebration.
Then, there is the IndyCar season finale at Chicagoland Speedway on ABC. We've already talked about the points battle, but another layer of intrigue has been added with Franchitti's new career move. No, I'm still not over it.
Finally, there's a friendly match today between the US men's national team and Brazil on ESPN2. I don't know who's playing for each side, but by default I'm picking Brazil.
Each of these events starts at 4:00 eastern. Feel free to comment on any of these, plus any other non-NFL sporting event of the day. Or, you can just call us communists.
