North Carolina receives rings for 8-4 season

Not to take anything away from North Carolina, but the Tar Heels finished 8-4 (5-3 ACC) in one of the worst power conference divisions in the country.

If it weren’t for ineligibility, UNC would have beat out a six-win Georgia Tech team to play Florida State in the ACC Championship Game.

So in honor of the Heels’ above-average year, coach Larry Fedora has handed out co-champion rings to each member of the roster and and staff.

Assistant equipment manager Jason Freeman tweeted out photos of the rings this morning. They’re actually really cool looking, but would you wear a ring that boasted an 8-4 record?

And you thought Ohio State’s 12-0 rings were ridiculous…
